Content Focus

  • Technology & Science in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem: Our primary focus is on the intersection of technology and science within the unique context of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE). We welcome articles that explore innovative technologies, scientific research, conservation efforts, and environmental issues relevant to the GYE.
  • Engaging & Informative: Articles should be well-researched, accurate, and presented in a way that is both informative and engaging for a general audience. We encourage the use of clear language, compelling storytelling, and relevant visuals to enhance the reader’s experience.
  • Original & Unbiased: We only accept original content that has not been published elsewhere. We also strive for unbiased reporting and encourage diverse perspectives on scientific topics.
  • Respectful & Inclusive: We value respectful dialogue and encourage a welcoming environment for all readers. Please refrain from using offensive language or promoting discrimination in any form.

Article Types

  • Feature Articles (800-1500 words): In-depth explorations of specific topics, research projects, or technological advancements.
  • News Articles (400-800 words): Timely updates on recent discoveries, events, or developments in science and technology within the GYE.
  • Opinion Pieces (500-800 words): Thought-provoking essays or personal reflections on relevant issues.
  • Interviews (500-1000 words): Q&A sessions with scientists, researchers, or innovators.
  • Photo Essays: Collections of high-quality images with accompanying captions that tell a compelling story.

Submission Guidelines

  • Formatting: Please submit your articles in Google Docs or Microsoft Word format.
  • Images: If you are using images that are not your own, please provide proper attribution and ensure you have permission to use them.
  • Author Bio: Include a brief author bio (1-2 sentences) and a headshot.
  • Contact Information: Provide your name, email address, and any relevant social media handles.
  • Review Process: We will review your submission and respond within 2-4 weeks.

Compensation

We are currently unable to offer monetary compensation for articles. However, we provide a platform for writers to share their work with a wide audience and gain exposure in the field of science communication.
